Among the 12 most beautiful European villages

As a candidate for the prestigious Entente Florale Europe award, Novi Vinodolski has intensified efforts to make its public areas as beautiful as possible before the awards ceremony takes place on the 19th of September in Split.

Novi Vinodolski has been chosen from as many as 26,000 towns and villages across Europe as one of the 12 candidates for the prestigious Entente Florale Europe award in the villages category. To make the town as beautiful as possible before the awards ceremony on the 19th of September in Split, the authorities in Novi Vinodolski are paying particular attention to its parks and public gardens, promenades, beaches and streets. The internationally selected jury shall visit Novi Vinodolski at the end of June to assess its horticulture and the overall efforts made for sustainable development of the area. Novi Vinodolski has already received several regional and Croatian awards, and the candidature for this prestigious European award comes in the very year the town is celebrating 130 years of tourism and 720 years of the Vinodol Law, its famous historical document. Besides this, a new luxury holiday village, Novi Resort, will soon be opened. This resort will include five-star lodging properties and all the necessary facilities required especially by congress, corporate and sports tourism. Apart from being one of the major investments in Croatian tourism, the Novi Resort will also include one of the largest European wellness centres. The whole area is being built on three levels facing the sea, just like the central hotel, which offers magnificent views of the surrounding area.
