Tourism company award goes to the Jadranka Company from Mali Lošinj
The Jadranka Company from Mali Lošinj is the latest winner of the Anton Štifanić Award for tourism companies. This award is traditionally presented by the Croatian National Tourist Board for contributions to improving the quality of tourism.
The Jadranka Company from Mali Lošinj has been in tourism business for six decades. Since 1993, 49 million euros were invested in the development of this modern company that is in charge of hotels, campsites and stores. Their future plans are even more ambitious: further 80 million euros should be invested in the five-year-period that started last year, which should result in all Jadranka's hotels having four or five stars.
The professionals from the Jadranka Company have always been pioneers of tourist development, taking particular care of quality and harmony with nature, which resulted in Lošinj being a kind of garden of fine scents and climatic health resort.
The owners of the Jadranka Company are its 1500 employees and inhabitants of the island of Lošinj. Its shares have been on the Varaždin stock market for 11 years. The latest news that indicates the importance of the Jadranka Company is the fact that last February, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development became the owner of the 30% of the Jadranka Hotels Company, a subsidiary of the Jadranka Group. This is the best proof that this company conducts its business according to highest standards, ensuring its properties and employees new investments, professional education and prosperous future.
The citation for the award reads: Due to the beneficial local climate and the particularly valuable heritage, the Jadranka Company specialises in healthy living. The Company's offer, tailored to meet the expectations of those who want more, will be further improved to meet the needs of modern, environmentally aware, active visitors.
