Entente Florale Europe
Novi Vinodolski wins the silver award

The renowned holiday resort of Novi Vinodolski is winner of the silver Entente Florale Europe 2008 award in the villages category. Novi Vinodolski was awarded this highly respected European award for the overall horticultural displays, respect for tradition, and its successful ecological school.

Novi Vinodolski was chosen as one of the 24 laureates (12 in the category of towns and 12 in the category of villages) for this award, presented by the European Association for Flowers and Landscape with headquarters in Brussels, among 5600 entrants from 12 European countries, in the villages category. The Silver Entente Florale in the towns category was awarded to Split, which was also the host of this years’ awards ceremony.
Novi Vinodolski has a tradition of welcoming visitors going back 130 years. It is the centre of the Vinodol Riviera with a total capacity of 8000 accommodation units. This small town is also recognisable for its typical coastal architecture and the attractive old town. Approximately 2 million kunas were spent for the horticultural design of the town. As a counterpoint to its historical centre, the town offers modern services and facilities: hotels, campsites, private accommodation, numerous catering and eating establishments, sport areas and much more, which all continue to attract numerous tourists each year. Novi Vinodolski also boasts the Novi Spa & Hotels Resort, a modern, superbly fitted holiday resort.
