Milenij Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta
A gastronomic tour of Croatia
There are two ways to learn more about the gastronomic specialities of Croatia's regions. The first is to travel to each region and try the local specialities on the spot. But if you don't have enough time for that, or are just too impatient, we recommend the second option – a stay in the Milenij Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta, where the best of each of Croatia's regional cuisines will "come" to you.
Each day of the week is dedicated to one of Croatia's regional cuisines: Monday is dedicated to the cuisine of Istria, Tuesday to the specialities of Lika and Gorski kotar, Wednesday to Dalmatian and the islands, Thursday to Međimurje and Zagorje, Friday to the local, Kvarner cuisine, and Saturday to the regions of Slavonia and Baranja. As a rule, traditional meals will be prepared to original recipes from old cookbooks. What makes this offer very specific is the fact that all dishes are prepared exclusively with local, hand-made ingredients, such as home-made bread fresh from the oven, various types of pastry, plum dumplings, sour milk, cheese and butter, or plum, apple and orange jam. The aim of the event is to offer interesting recipes to the guests and to avoid the monotony of the hotel menu.
This unique gastronomic offer is further emphasised by the appropriate decoration of the restaurant, characteristic for the relevant regions: fishing nets for Dalmatian cuisine, corn and nuts spread around traditional table cloths will accompany Slavonian dishes, and so on.
Guests from Croatia and abroad have recognised the quality of this offer in the Milenij Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta: the efforts of the staff are being rewarded with an increasing number of guests and their compliments.
The 4-star Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta consists of four luxurious villas that were named after Opatija's flowers (Camellia, Wisteria, Melia and Magnolia). The hotel includes 262 accommodation units and various congress, wellness and other services and amenities.
