Two decades of the Lubenice Musical Evenings

Lubenice Musical Evenings is a traditional festival that will take place for the 20th time this year, offering visitors to this small picturesque town on the island of Cres the chance to enjoy some excellent musical performances.

This year's Lubenice Musical Evenings starts on the 3rd of July with performances by Teha and Pinguentum singing groups and folklore ensembles. After that date, each Friday in July and August there will be performances by famous musicians such as Teha and Pinguentum singing groups and folklore ensembles, Ksenia Morozova (piano), Yulia Huaryliuk (violin), Odil Čakirov (piano), Valentin Enčev (baritone), Slavko Sekulić (bass), Natalija Maričeva (piano), the Chamber Quintet – Argit Caldura (soprano), Katja Markotić (mezzo-soprano), Ferranter Casellato (clarinet), Alessandro Terrin (clarinet), Alessandro Cesaro (piano), Kiril Rodin (violoncello), Anastasia Akimova (flute), and the Korean Chamber Orchestra. The last concert within this year's Lubenice Musical Evening is scheduled for the 21st of August.
The concerts within the Lubenice Musical Evenings festival take place in the parish church, adding to the attractiveness of this picturesque village on the island of Cres, located on a cliff 378 metres above the sea. The festival is sponsored by the Town of Cres, the Town of Cres Tourism Board, the Kvarner County Tourism Office, and the County of Primorje-Gorski kotar.
Apart from this festival, the resorts on the island of Cres host numerous other interesting events in summer, such as performances by traditional klape harmony-singing groups, classical music concerts and concerts with the traditional tamburitza instruments.
Classical music concerts start in Martinščica on the 17th of July, and the Tramuntana Festival on the 18th of July in Beli. It's worth mentioning here that during summer, there will be numerous other concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and traditional festivals on the island of Cres.
