Ethno Hotel Balatura
For guests who appreciate individuality

The Ethno Hotel Balatura, which celebrated its first year in business at the beginning of June, has a growing number of admirers who come there to find a kind of journey back in time, and to stimulate their own creativity. It's also the starting point for interesting tours of the Adriatic coast, the islands and the wooded Gorski kotar region.

The Ethno Hotel Balatura, located in Tribalj, only six kilometres from the seaside resort of Crikvenica, is unique in many ways. Its owners, a writer and a movie director, moved here together with their five children from Germany, and their hotel reflects their preferences and love towards people, arts and life. The hotel disposed of ten rooms in a several centuries old stone house that was renovated in collaboration with conservators. Designed to create the atmosphere of the past, the hotel also offers its visitors modern comfort and gastronomic specialities that combine tradition with contemporary culinary trends.
In its first year in business, the hotel accommodated may visitors from Croatia and abroad, who instantaneously spread the word about it – as a result, the number of visitors is constantly increasing. The surroundings of the hotel offer great opportunities for activity holidays, as well as for excursions to the Adriatic coast or the wooded Gorski kotar area. Apart from that, the Hotel Balatura continues to attract visitors with special workshops. As a result of a combination of artistic sensibilities of the hotel owners, there will be various workshops: sculpture, literary meetings, or creative writing. For those who want to learn more about sculpture, it is worth mentioning that there will be two additional workshops in September under supervision of a sculptor from Germany. The hotel is also ideal for all visitors who enjoy long strolls, paragliding, mountain biking, as well as other water and mountain sports.
