Jadranka Hotel Company
Opening of the newly refurbished Hotel Vespera

At the beginning of June, the Minister of Tourism Mr. Damir Bajs cut the ribbon to formally open the refurbished Hotel Vespera in Mali Lošinj. This four-star hotel is aimed mainly at families with children, who can find numerous attractions and additional amenities here.

The Hotel Vespera, a part of the Jadranka Hotels Company, has 404 accommodation units, including connected family rooms, apartments and rooms equipped to meet the needs of people with disabilities. The investment amounted to 16.9 million euros. Hotel amenities are aimed primarily at families with children and include specially designed reception, mini-buffet, children seats, entertainment programmes, pool complex with various attractions, mum's corner etc.
The new investment cycle of the Jadranka Hotels Company – 31 percent of which is owned by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – was started in 2008 with the reconstruction of the Hotel Aurora into a wellness & congress hotel. The last year's investment into Hotel Auror amounted to 18.5 million euros. The whole 80 million euros investment cycle should be completed by 2012 when all Jadranka's hotels will be refurbished and equipped with additional amenities.
As a result, Mali Lošinj – a resort famous for its excellent climate, fragrant vegetation, and extraordinarily beneficial effects on human health – now becomes a destination that will offer its guests a wide range of services and facilities for a comfortable stay throughout the year. The offer of the Hotel Vespera and the whole island has recently been presented in Zagreb. Accompanied by the scents and fragrances from Lošinj, this presentation reminded people from Zagreb of the advantages of Lošinj as a holiday destination whose offer ranges from the swimming in the sea and experiencing benefits of the Mediterranean herbs to a variety of sporting, recreational and gastronomic events. Indeed, Lošinj really is the "Island of Vitality".
