Hotel Risnjak
Blue and green – an ideal combination

Blue sea and green landscapes is an ideal holiday combination, and Kvarner offers plenty of opportunities for combining these two colours. If you want to combine a few days' holiday in the green surroundings of Gorski kotar with a stay on the islands and on the coast, or if you prefer to swim in the sea by day and sleep in the highland by night, we would like to recommend a very attractive destination in Gorski kotar: Delnice.

Delnice, a town in Gorski kotar located only half an hour's drive from Rijeka, the centre of Kvarner, and one hour's drive from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, on a modern comfortable motorway, is an interesting destination at any time of the year: in summer because it provides nice refreshment from the heat, in winter because of the snow, and always because of its fresh air and beautiful preserved nature. Visitors often choose to stay in the Hotel Risnjak, which is a three-star hotel, but offers services and facilities of a much higher standard. It is renowned for its rich gastronomic offer, team-building programmes, sports facilities and interesting excursions. Visitors can choose from a variety of two-day, five-day and weekly package holidays that include trips to the Risnjak National park, the source of River Kupa, and other attractions of the length of the stay.
While in Delnice, do not miss the chance to visit the Risnjak National Park, which stretches at an altitude between 300 and 1500 metres above sea level. Thanks to a combination of mountain and Mediterranean climate, this area boasts a very specific flora and fauna. In addition to enjoying beautiful landscapes and the unique karst phenomenon – the source of River Kupa – we also invite you to go for a stroll on the Leska educational trail, which is suitable for all visitors and was designed to provide information about the nature and the history of the region. If you decide to stay a little longer, you will also have the chance to visit the protected landscape of Zeleni vir and the gorge of Vražji prolaz – areas that abound in beautiful landscapes and interesting features, such as an underground cave. Another destination worth visiting during your stay in the Gorski kotar area is the town of Fužine, famous for its three lakes and the cave of Vrelo. This cave can be visited by children, elderly people and people with disabilities, which makes it unique in Europe.
Attractive excursions give the visitors the chance to learn more about other destinations of the region and their local traditions and customs, visit local museums, and also to experience the life in harmony with nature, which includes gathering wild fruits, as well as preparing and sampling traditional dishes.
The Hotel Risnjak is also suitable for business people looking for a venue for their meetings, and sportsmen looking for a suitable training area. The hotel provides accommodation in ca. 20 rooms, a fitness studio, wellness facilities and other services. The Hotel Risnjak has been awarded for the quality of its accommodation, and the hotel's national restaurant is the winner of the golden plaque for its selection of original dishes.
