Renowned musicians at the Chamber Music Festival

This year's Ravna Gora Chamber Music Festival will take place from the 5th to the 9th of September and will traditionally feature performances by numerous renowned musicians from all over the world. On the first day of the festival, Antonia Angelova, Rie Sakata and Muriell Garcias wil perform classical Spanish music and flamenco, accompanied by guitarists and drummers. On the next two days, on the 6th and 7th of September, Werner Hink (violin), Nada Majnarić and Tamara Jukić-Sviben (piano) will perform the music by Felix Mendelssohn and the Croatian composer Ivana Lang. On the 8th of September, soprano Lidija Orešković-Dvorski and mezzo-soprano Kristina Beck-Kukavčić, accompanied on piano by Krešimir Popović, will perform music by F. Mendelssohn, P. Esteva, M.De Falla, and I. Lang. On the last day of the Festival, the Sebastian Quartet, Anđelko Krpan and Korana Rucner – violin, Nebojša Floreani – viola, Zlatko Rucner – cello and Nada Majnarić – piano will perform music by J. Haydn, B. Kunc and F. Mendelssohn.
The first Chamber Music Festival took place in September 2004. Since then, Ravna Gora has become the meeting point for musicians and numerous lovers of chamber music at the beginning of September. The initiator of the Festival is the famous Croatian musician Neda Majnarić who made an international career but has never forgotten her place of birth – Ravna Gora. The Festival is sponsored by the Municipality of Ravna Gora, the County of Primorje-Gorski kotar, the Kvarner County Tourism Office, and various other sponsors.
In addition to music, Ravna Gora offers its guests wonderful nature, numerous walking trails, great opportunities for excursions, and a variety of local specialities.
