Conference season in the Hotel Adriatic begins with Bejahad
At the end of August, Opatija's Grand Hotel Adriatic will host the Bejahad 2009 Jewish Cultural Scene. This event will mark the beginning of an intense autumn of conferences and congresses, for which Opatija is widely renowned.
The Bejahad 2009 Jewish cultural scene begins on the 25th of August with a gala dinner, and continues in the following days until the 1st of September with a series of cultural events entitled "With culture towards togetherness". The programme will include book presentations, poetry readings, painting exhibitions, film projection and a concert with international artists. There will also be various lectures and a presentation of selected projects by Jewish communities. The working part of this comprehensive and interesting programme will be "spiced" with concerts, ballets and film screenings. At the end of this year's Bejahad, there will be an excursion to the islands of Brijuni and a gala concert of the pianist Yefim Bronfam.
The Grand Hotel Adriatic has a long tradition as a congress venue and hosts approximately 200 congresses each year. Its eight conference rooms have a total capacity of more than thousand seats. The hotel disposes of ca. 300 rooms and a wellness centre and boasts a rich gastronomic offer and all the amenities required by business people.
