Maestro Paco de Lucia in Croatia

As part of his tour in Croatia, where he will be holding three concerts, Paco de Lucia, one of the most important and influent flamenco guitarists, will honour the Rijeka public with his concert. He will hold the concert accompanied by his seven-member ensemble on 10th February at the Theatre Fenice in Rijeka.

The Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia will be visiting Croatia in February where he will hold three concerts in total. The first to enjoy in his music will be Split inhabitants on 8th February, followed by those in Rijeka on 10th February, while the last concert in Croatia will be held by the excellent flamenco guitar player on Valentine's Day in Zagreb.

The visit to Croatia has been organized as part of his latest world tour under he title “Paco de Lucia and Band Live on Tour 2010”, starting in Sarajevo on 6th February. After Croatia, the tour will continue in Ljubljana followed by other places in Europe and the world, so that the Croatian public will be among the first to enjoy in this musical delicacy.

Maestro Paco de Lucia is one of the most influential flamenco guitarists of all times, who held his first performances in his native Spain when he was still a child. He was born in 1947 in the Spanish province Cadiz, and started to play the guitar at the age of five. His rich and long musical career rose him up to the very top of the world flamenco scene and today he is one of the synonyms for Spanish flamenco. He recorded the first album in 1965 and so far has released 25 albums and received hundreds of music awards and innumerable praises by the public.

At the mentioned tour he will perform with his ensemble consisting of world famous musicians and artists – Niño Josele (guitar), Antonio Serrano (keyboard), Alain Pérez (bass) and Piranha (percussions), vocalists Cristo Heredia and David de Jacoba and the dancer Farucco.
