Holiday in Crikvenica
Surf for free in the centre of town!

Since May, Crikvenica's residents and visitors can now connect to the Internet free of charge anywhere around Crikvenica's busy waterfront.

Starting from this May, visitors to Crikvenica can take full advantage of a new service – free Internet access in the centre of the town. Crikvenica's town administration decided that from the beginning of May, the areas of the Stjepan Radić Square and a part of the Strossmayer promenade will be covered with the wireless broadband network, which can be accessed free of charge.
Visitors can connect to the network using their laptops or mobile phones without a specific username or password. To improve users' safety and ensure maximal quality of the service and stability of the system, the network has an anti-virus protection. The following services cannot be accessed on this network for safety reasons: peer-to-peer-file sharing, malware and spyware contents, websites dealing with misuse of drugs, pornography, and extremist groups. Sending offensive e-mails via POP 3 is also blocked. The complete network is also secured with the Intrusion prevention system (IPS).
Thanks to this new service, the visitors to this renowned holiday resort will now have the chance to combine walks on Crikvenica's most popular promenade, drinking coffee in one of the numerous cafés on the waterfront, and enjoying the attractive night life, with the free Internet access and browsing their favourite websites.
