Rab Summer Festival 2010
Weekend of dance on Rab

On the 13th and 14th of August, the town of Rab, the largest settlement on the island of the same name, will host another edition of the popular Rab Summer Festival. After dancing to the music by DJs from Croatia and abroad, the scene will, like every Assumption Day, be taken over by attractive mediaeval knights.

This year's Rab Summer Festival will take place on the 13th and 14th of August, with the central stage being the stadium in Rab, the largest town on the island of the same name. So, if you are on Rab during these two days (Friaday and Saturday), make sure to visit the festival, because the organisers have announced a great dancing party.
The first day of the festival is reserved for DJs from abroad. The star of the evening will be Tom Novy – renowned German house trance DJ who started his career in 1995 and made a series of hits that were popular in some of the largest house clubs around the world. We are confident that the audience on Rab will also have the chance to dance to the rhythm of his hits such as Without Your Love or Your Body. Since the party will last until early morning hours, there will be some additional performers, such as DJ Dolls – the increasingly popular musicians from Russia, and the famous Croatian house diva Natalie Peris – the musical background will be provided by the popular DJ Marc Bucca.
The second day of the festival is dedicated to Croatian music and will include performances by the famous singer Severina and the popular hip-hop band from Split, TBF.
The attractions on Rab do not end here. On the feast day of the Assumption of Mary, the 15th of August, Rab will traditionally host a knight tournament with the Rab crossbowmen – a major historical spectacle that takes place several times every year on St. Christopher Square in Rab and continues to attract many visitors.
