A winter's tale in Delnice
For lovers of winter sports

With its wide choice of winter sports facilities, the town of Delnice continues to attract more and more visitors, coming in search of attractive winter activity holidays. Thanks to the quality of its venues, Delnice is also becoming increasingly popular among professional athletes.

The small town of Delnice in the Gorski kotar area has a wide range of sport services and facilities to offer. Since the beginning of December, a large ice skating rink has been opened in the centre of the town, and in the immediate vicinity are an attractive ski slope, the only ski jump in Croatia, and many other facilities for activity holidays throughout the year.
The ice hall with the skating rink is open every day – on workdays from 2 to 9,30 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. Mornings are mainly reserved for groups (schools, ice hockey clubs, team building).

Ice skating rink in DelniceVisitors are invited to the ice skating rink, but also to the 25-metre swimming pool in the Delnice Sports Centre. However, since beautiful winter landscapes are the most attractive part of the winter atmosphere in Delnice, many visitors will enjoy skiing in the nearby Petehovac ski area, which is located on the hill of the same name overlooking Delnice, at an elevation of 1024 metres above sea level. The area includes a small ski centre and a hotel. Since the slope is relatively short (410 metres) and not very steep, Petehovac has become very popular as a ski area for children and beginners. The offer also includes night skiing, a long sledding trail, and slopes for cross-country and alpine skiing.

In addition to these facilities, the town of Delnice and the surrounding area offer a wide range of sporting facilities, which are also suitable for professional athletes, and other attractions aimed at all age groups and interests. These include cultural and sacred heritage, local gastronomy, and special attractions such as the Delnice deer park.
