The best of the best will meet at Platak again
Some of the best European skiers have announced their participation in this year's Adriatic Slalom ski race, which takes place at Platak on the 8th of March. As part of the European FIS Slalom Cup, this event will surely attract many visitors once again to Platak.
On the 8th of March, ski lovers will once again have the chance to enjoy a great skiing event on Platak with some of the best European slalom skiers. This will be one of the last races within this year's European FIS Slalom Cup, which became known as the Adriatic Slalom. For the second year in the row, this race will count toward the FIS Slalom Cup, which is why Platak will again welcome some of the best European skiers and their supporters. The event will be particularly interesting for Croatian ski fans due to the participation of two Croatian slalom skiers – Dalibor Šamšal and Sebastian Brigović.
This will also be a great chance to additionally promote Platak, a popular weekend ski resort in the vicinity of Rijeka, distinguished for the fact that it is one of the very few ski areas with a beautiful view of the sea and the surrounding mountains from its top located 1,300 metres above sea level.
The Adriatic Slalom ski race is organised by the members of the Croatian Ski Association, and the technical support is again provided by the members of the Rijeka Ski Club.
Since the race takes place on Tuesday, there will be bus lines from Rijeka to Platak for all interested visitors. However, Platak can also be easily reached by car from Rijeka and other Croatian regions. Last year, the race was viewed by more than 1,500 spectators, which is why it was evaluated as one of the most successful races within the overall European FIS Cup.
