Mali Lošinj Tourism Office
2011: an even better offer

More than 250 events announced and a series of new projects, such as the new spiritual-energy walking trail, the promotion of the rich biodiversity in Punta Križe, etc. – these are just some of the activities happening in Mali Lošinj in 2011.

After the very successful year 2010, Mali Lošinj's tourism professionals are making preparations for a series new projects that will be offered to the visitors already at the beginning of this year. Although it might appear to be a typical summer resort, the island of Lošinj and its archipelago have changed this perception over the last few years thanks to the high-quality offer and numerous attractions. As a result, the number of overnight stays and arrivals of tourists throughout the year additionally increased in 2010. The merit for this goes to many people – especially hotel owners who are systematically creating attractive holiday packages, tourism professionals who continue to create unique island programmes, and producers of various indigenous products, who became an indispensable part of the overall promotion of the island of Lošinj.
Lošinj has been known as the Island of Vitality due to the programmes based on the island's biodiversity and mild climate, which make Lošinj quite unique among other Adriatic islands. The existing programmes are constantly improved and new ones are being promoted. This year, Lošinj's visitors will have the chance to choose from almost 250 popular events, a wide range of different programmes, and a series of completely new services. One of these is the new spiritual-energy walking trail called On the Trails of St. Gaudentius – a part of the overall Lošinj Walking Trails projects, which includes walking trails in the total length of 220 kilometres leading along the coast and across fragrant landscapes. Another news is the action aimed at promoting the biodiversity of Punta Križa, a small village on the island of Cres. This natural paradise is being promoted as part of the Lošinj archipelago. Local people often call it the landscape of perfect peace, or even national treasure with a rich flora and fauna.
Other novelties that are currently being prepared will soon be visible on the updated official website.
