Spring in Crikvenica
5th Flower Festival

From the 14th to the 17th of April, the town of Crikvenica will host the 5th Flower Festival. This colourful event takes place on the streets of the town, giving visitors the chance to buy flowers at favourable prices, learn how to grow and take care of plants, and identify the latest trends in interior and exterior floral arrangements

Over the last few years, spring in Crikvenica has always been dedicated to the colourful Flower Festival. This year, the event takes place from the 14th to the 17th of April and includes a large exhibition where visitors can buy flowers, seedlings and garden products. On this occasion, Crikvenica's main town square, Trg Stjepana Radića, and the harbour area, will be transformed into a large garden full of flowers of all sorts. Visitors to the festival will not only have the chance to enjoy a wide variety of colourful flowers, but also to learn more about them through a series of workshops, lectures and presentations aimed at explaining new trends in floriculture and using floral arrangements to decorate interiors and exteriors. Expert lecturer will give some useful advice on how to grow and care for plants, and the festival will also include various musical and entertainment programmes.
This event, which will be officially opened by children from local schools and kindergartens, was first organised in spring 2009 and since then it has taken place twice a year – in spring and autumn.
The organisers of the 5th Flower Festival are the Istarski sajam d.o.o. company and the Crikvenica Tourist Board under the auspices of the Town of Crikvenica.
