Festival Kvarner
Classical music for all the senses

The new Festival Kvarner concert season starts in Opatija on the 23rd of April and continues for the next seven months with performances by some of Europe's most respected young musicians.

Following the three well-attended concerts in 2010, this year's Festival Kvarner concert season starts on the 23rd of April in Hotel Kvarner's Crystal Hall.
The first concert will include Mozart's A Little Night Music, Dvořák's String Serenade in E major, and finally the Divertimento by Bela Bartók. The concert will be performed by the members of the Austrian Orchestra Academy Ossiach and conducted by Hans Peter Ochsenhofer. As usually, the Orchestra Academy Ossiach will offer exceptional interpretations full of youthful enthusiasm, because members of this orchestra are talented young musicians from fourteen European countries that practice and play with the members of the Vienna and Berlin philharmonics.
The next concert within the Festival Kvarner, scheduled for June, will bring some news to Opatija. As announced by its organisers, the Festival Kvarner has become part of a large international EU project whose results will soon be presented in Opatija, which will strengthen the position of this town on the map of European cultural events.
