Island of Krk
Dive into May, toast with a glass of wine!

Following the exciting programme of events enjoyed in April, visitors to the town of Krk will have no shortage of interesting things to do in May as well: among the highlights scheduled for this month are Scuba Fest, for diving enthusiasts, and the Krk Wine Promenade, a three-day event dedicated to promoting the island's fine wines.

During the month of May, the town of Krk on the island of the same name will host traditional events dedicated to diving and wine.
The first group of visitors, those interested in diving, are invited to the Scuba Fest that will take place from the 13th to the 15th of May. This event is aimed at promoting the diving offer of the town and the island of Krk in general and will include presentations of all diving centres of this island, their programmes and equipment. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet fellow divers and all the fans of this attractive sport, and also to promote some of the most beautiful diving spots in the waters off the island of Krk.
On the second day of the festival, on Saturday, there will be the traditional ecological action of removing waste from the sea in the coastal area, followed by the evening Scuby Party for all participants. The practical part of the Scuba Fest is scheduled for Sunday. On that day, all interested visitors will have the opportunity to listen to lectures and then make a trial dive.
Lovers of good wines are invited to visit the Krk Wine Promenade festival that will take place in the period from the 26th to the 29th of May. During this event, some first-class Croatian winemakers and restaurants from Krk will present their offer at promotional prices. The programme will include guided wine sampling, lectures, exhibition of wine watercolours, and a workshop dedicated to this painting technique. The evening programme will be enriched with concerts of klape singing groups and musical performances. The festival will take part in local bars and restaurants and also on the streets of the town of Krk.
A similar event will take place in the same period in another town on the island of Krk – Malinska. The central event in May there is the 10th Eco, Ethno and Wine Festival aimed at promoting good examples of raising environmental awareness, preserving local heritage, and small family production of excellent agricultural products and souvenirs. Visitors will have the chance to taste and buy some of the best agricultural products and original souvenirs from various Croatian regions.
