Road Show presentation in Hungary
Promotion of Kvarner in all its splendour

This year once again the residents of Hungary's capital have enjoyed the attractive road show presentation organised by the Kvarner County Tourism Office in one of Budapest's busiest market places. The event was well-attended, with visitors eager to learn more about the Kvarner region, which is easily reached from Hungary.

For the seventh year in a row, the Kvarner County Tourism Office, right before the start of the busiest part of the tourist season, presented the region's offer in the very heart of Budapest. This year's road show presentation took place in Nagyvasarscarnok, one of the busiest market places in Budapest, daily visited by more than 20,000 people.
The presentation was organised in collaboration with the Croatian National Tourist Board representative office in Hungary and the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Regional Chamber Rijeka.
In addition to the distribution of promotional materials and sampling of Kvarner's typical products, visitors had the opportunity to learn about Kvarner by native speakers of Hungarian who provided information and answered their questions.
The visitors once again showed great interest in Croatia, especially the Kvarner region that can be easily reached from Hungary. Despite the fact that many people from Budapest already know a lot about Kvarner, each road presentation is a great opportunity to provide more information and learn something new about some of the less well-known attractions in the Kvarner region.
During the presentation, several Hungarian journalists who wrote about Kvarner in their local media won a stay on Kvarner sponsored by Kvarner companies Poljana – Camping, Village, Resort from the island of Lošinj, Osojnak Apartments from Kastav, Marija Apartment from Rijeka, Luana Apartments from Rijeka, and Pinezić Apartments from Malinska.
Hungary is one of the six most important source markets that together make up almost 80 percent of total tourism revenues on Kvarner. It is important to mention that the percentage of visitors from Hungary amounts to almost 4.2 percent. In addition, in 2010 the number of overnights stays of visitors from Hungary increased by one percent compared with 2009. Based on the fact that the number of arrivals in 2011 increased by 34 percent in comparison with 2010, it can be assumed that this positive trend will be continued.
