For the sixteenth year in a row, Rijeka will play host to the international Puppet Theatre Festival. This year's festival will run from the 3rd to the 11th of November, and the plays will take place in Rijeka's Puppet Theatre and the Croatian House of Culture (HKD) in Sušak. The festival will include performances of several Croatian theatres and puppeteers from Slovenia and France.
The festival will be opened by the Scena Gorica Theatre from Velika Gorica, which will perform the play Pinocchio – a story well known to the parents, who now have the chance to share it with their children. After Pinocchio, the festival will continue with other plays: "Those that I take with me", "Small children, big people", "Pinocchio", "In search of monsters", "Snow White", "Small dinosaur", "Ivek the boy and Cvilek the dog", "Hansel and Gretel", "Ghostly hat", "Our mum has become dragon", "Tinder", "Tale of a singing tree", "Sheep with boots", and "Sleeping beauty".
Every day during the festival there will be two or three plays both in the morning and in the afternoon, with the exception of the 8th of November, when there will be even four plays. There will also be several reprises.
The festival is organised by Rijeka's Puppet Theatre and the Department for Culture of the City of Rijeka.
