March – Wellness Open Days Month
Traditionally in March, Opatija hosts the Wellness Open Days event, offering a wide range of wellness packages and services, and also numerous special offers to make your wellness experience here even more interesting and more easily accessible.
During the Wellness Open Days programme, various hotels in Opatija – a town whose actual wellness offer is based on a long tradition of health tourism – will be offering special deals and holiday packages tailored to meet the needs of modern visitors. The Grand Hotel Adriatic offers one free treatment for each body treatment in March. The Hotel Bristol offers total relaxation treatments and other packages at promotional prices. The Thalasso Wellness Centre Opatija puts emphasis on treatments and baths with laurel, a fragrant Mediterranean plant which thrives in the local area. The Milenij hoteli group will host weeks of traditional Thai massage performed by original Thai therapists (from 1 until 18 March), and weeks of holistic medicine in collaboration with an expert in acupuncture and homeopathy who prescribes and performs holistic therapies (after 19 March).
The Wellness & Spa offer of the Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta includes special treatments every day at promotional prices: Mondays are dedicated to treatments for men, Tuesdays to trainings with personal coach, Thursdays to treatments for women, and Saturdays to personal growth workshops. The Hotel Mozart offers special discounts on treatments, with particular emphasis on Japanese bath, the only of its kind in Croatia.
We should not forget that thanks to the area's excellent climate and beautiful nature, a stay in nature or a walk on the famous centenarian seafront promenade can also be a kind of wellness experience. In collaboration with the Quarnero Association, the Thalasso Wellness Centre is organising brisk walks along Lungomare seaside promenade entitled "Following the scent of laurel" every Saturday in March. Excursions to Učka Nature Park are available on 23 and 30 March and will include a guided tour of Vela Draga – geomorphological nature monument and educational trail, where visitors will have the chance to admire the spectacular view of the canyon and its limestone towers.
